The majority in parliament has issued a press statement to remove the finance minister Ken Ofori Atta from office. The MP for Okaikwei Central, Hon Patrick Boamah said the majority support the opposition who had earlier called for the removal of the finance minister who had failed to address the fall of the Ghana cedi compared to other foreign currencies.
This is a clear manifestation that, the president, Nana Akufo Addo has no option but to sack the finance minister Ken Ofori Atta from the office since his budget can not be approved at the parliament.
Immediately after this statement, the NDC also issued a statement that president Nana Akufo Addo has a personal interest to keep maintaining the finance minister, who has failed to stabilize the cedi.
