President Vladimir Putin of Russia has reportedly announced that the group is finally going forward with its alternative currency plan, according to a study article that Amelia, an XRP enthusiast, first noticed. According to the report, the bloc may investigate using XRP connected with Ripple for cross-border settlements.

The Bank of Russia previously announced a project on the execution of cross-border transfers. It is said that the Ripple payment mechanism was taken into consideration for this project. It was seen to be a great starting point for creating a mechanism for the group’s cross-border settlements. It is important to remember that XRP is renowned for its quick transactions and affordable fees. Therefore, it appears to be a workable approach that the bloc is thinking about to transform its objectives for international payments.

The adoption of the cryptocurrency could lead to a sharp increase in XRP’s price. Robert Doyle, also known as Crypto Sensei, the CEO and Founder of Cryptonairz, predicts that if BRICS nations embrace XRP on a large scale, its value might rise to $10,000. Most people agree that using XRP as their currency of choice instead of US dollars will benefit BRICS members immensely. These countries’ growing economies and unstable currencies are seen as obstacles that XRP could help with.

Another asset that the BRICS country may be able to take advantage of is Ripple’s expanding network of partnerships with reputable financial institutions.

These alliances typically reflect the expanding use cases and international acknowledgement of XRP. There have been talks regarding the feasibility of an XRP ETF because of how much XRP has improved in the last few months, particularly since Judge Analisa Torres’ July 13 ruling that the cryptocurrency is not security.

Expert opinions on the introduction of other cryptocurrency ETFs have started to surface since the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the listing of Bitcoin ETFs and, more recently, Ethereum ETFs.

Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, discussed the introduction of the XRP ETF in an interview. He emphasized that he is confident that XRP will be accepted as well, given the approval of Ethereum ETFs. Additionally, Monica Long, President of Ripple, expressed her strong support for an XRP ETF, saying it would make “a lot of sense” in light of the existing regulatory certainty in the United States surrounding both XRP and Bitcoin.
