A new dawn has broken for education in Techiman of the Bono East Region with the official inauguration of Stellar Edge School of Excellence, a multi-purpose institution that promises to carry Ghanaian learners into the digital age.
At the heart of the school’s vision is a bold commitment to technology. As the world turns increasingly digital, Stellar Edge begins its teaching journey straight away with robotics and artificial intelligence at the basic level, equipping young minds with the skills of tomorrow from their very first days in the classroom.
The school has been duly accredited by the Ghana Education Service (GES), meaning it will operate strictly in line with national rules and regulations while pursuing its ultimate goal of providing access to tertiary education.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr Emmanuel V. Aleser explained the school’s far-reaching ambition. He noted that because becoming a medical specialist requires years of dedicated study, a health college will be established to help reduce the stress of students and parents who would otherwise travel long distances to seek admission.
Dr Aleser stressed that Stellar Edge is not limited to pupils from Aniyima and Kaniago. “The school is going to benefit Ghanaians at large,” he said, underscoring a mission of high-quality, child-centered education.
The facilities reflect that promise. From nursery to Primary 3, classrooms are completely furnished with modern tables and chairs, and the school provides buses to pick pupils up from their homes and return them safely at the close of the day. The school’s package also includes uniforms and feeding.
The landlord, Akwakumuhene of Techiman, commended Dr Aleser for the education complex and assured him of the needed support. He pleaded with parents to make good use of the institution, which he described as one of the best in the region. Nana Akwakuhene, together with her sub-chiefs and mother, including Dr Kessi among others, officially commissioned the school.
With technology, care and community support combined, Stellar Edge School of Excellence is poised to shape the leaders of Ghana’s future.
