Banda Ahenkro has witnessed its first-ever restaurant in the district with local and western dishes.

The Restaurant is located in the Banda Ahenkro district capital of the Bono region now serving tourists who visit the Bui Dam and the district capital.

Madam Helena Aworosa a pensioner who double as 2020 district best farmer has established a restaurant in the community to create jobs for the people.

The name of the restaurant is ‘Lelor’ Bar and Restaurant. In their local dialogue, Lalor means father’s Senior Sister.

Today, it’s the biggest traditional restaurant in the Banda Ahenkro at a hot point catching the attention of tourists who visit the Bui Dam in the area. One can be served with just 5 cedis on both local and foreign dishes.

The chief executive officer of the restaurant, Madam Helena Aworosa has, therefore, called on all stakeholders to remain active and proactive to ensure that the objective of the job creation is achieved.

She also called on all citizens to join hands towards the developmental projects in the country. According to her, the government alone can not develop the country, unless all the stakeholders and individuals switch their attitudes towards development.

Attendance was Rev Dr. Cyril G K Fayose General Secretary Christian Council of Churches, Hon Mary Ankomah District chief executive Banda, Nana Sakyameh, chief of Banda Kabrono among others.
