His Excellency, President Nana Akufo Addo has pronounced to rename the university of energy and natural resources (UENR) in Sunyani of the Bono region after late Prime Minister, Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia.
The president said based on the founding council’s recommendations of the university, he cannot hesitate to rename the school after the late Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia
The president said, late Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia did a lot for the country and deserved everlasting landmark in his own region.
Nana Akufo Addo said this when marking the fourth congregation ceremony of UENR.
The traditional chiefs of Wenchi in the Bono region came in their numbers to commend the president.
The spokesperson of the Wenchi traditional council, Anane Agyei commended the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the moved.
