PWDs To Drag Bono East RCC Authorities To Court

 

The people living with disabilities in the Bono East region have cautioned the authorities of the Regional Coordinating Council to find a possible solution to fix an elevator to make the offices of the regional administration block friendly to the people with disabilities.

The office of the Bono East Regional Minister been located on the last floor is not only a challenged to the PWDs but also a hard task to the advanced aged persons.

The Bono East Regional PWDs treasury, John De Baptist Naambome says, it take him more than 15 minutes to climb the high 4 storey block to file his reports.
He said his weekly reports on the high block is affecting his health.

He said some of his other colleagues could never visit the office of the minister in their lives if the elevator is not fixed.

John De Baptist said they would hit the streets in their numbers if the people in authority fail to address their issue.

The Bono East regional minister, hon Kofi Amoakohene in response to their challenged said he would make himself available to them any time the PWDs assemble to see.

He said the government has considered their situation in their new high storey blocks under construction.
