Adaprase and its environs have over 5,000 populace who travel over six kilometers each day to fetch water.
Serve Ghana Inc NGO based in the USA and founded by Rev father James Annor Ohene is now set to drilling and connecting pipes to the three communities; Adaprase, Komfokrom, and Papase in the Pru West district of the Bono East region.
The country director of Serve Ghana Inc, Rev father Martin Oduro Bilson of the Techiman Catholic Diocese, said they had completed their visibility studies with their engineers to start connecting pipes from the main drilled water sources.
Rev father Martin Oduro Bilson has pleaded for financial support to extend the water to more communities.
The reason being that all attempts been made to drill boreholes in the communities failed due to inconsistent water table level.
The Adaprase Roman Catholic church catechist, Patrick Twea Kwadwo says, water challenges in the area become worse from February to March every year. He added that this same water is shared with animals.
Information reached Nkyeremu News indicates, the people of these communities are mostly infected with waterborne diseases.
The people here mostly use the can used cooking oil containers to fetch water. One container of water is selling at one Ghana cedi.
