The queen mother of Dormaa- Mireku Adontenhemaa, Nana Akosua Kumi Sasraku Sradaa I , well known as (Show Sister) has called on Ghanaians to discipline the child at the tender age before the child grows horns.
She said this at her thanksgiving service and outdooring ceremony at Mireku of the Dormaa Municipal in Bono region.
Obaahemaa Sasraku Sradaa I said it would have been better to revisit the traditional way where any elderly person had the right to discipline the child on the spot.
She added, teachers seeking permission from their heads to discipline a child for wrongdoing has contributed to child indiscipline we record very often.
She says several youth who are on drugs and involved in robberies are due to their total freedom and not been punished for wrongdoing at their tender age.
On education, Nana Sasraku Sradaa I pleaded with parents to reduce unnecessary expenses and switch more attention to their wards.
She cautions on early childbirth, school dropouts, and teenage pregnancies.
Nana Sasraku Sradaa I received a citation plaque from GBC for her outstanding performances.
The colorful ceremony was been attended by high class of personalities including chiefs, politicians, and others.
