Techiman MCE Is Compelled To Lift Lockdown On Techiman Market

The hon MCE, John Donyina is been compelled to immediately lift the proposed temporarily lockdown on the Techiman Central Market based on president Nana Akufo Addo’s lift on lockdown areas.

It will now be a breach of the above order of the president if hon John Donyina insists to close down Techiman central market on 22nd Wednesday. It will also imply that, he has restricted the movement of the people by his own order which is against our constitution.

Hon John Donyina can, however, regulate the number of people at the Techiman Central Market but not one-week complete lockdown.

He should be praised for the bold decision taken though.

If a council intends to withdraw his case from the law court what role has the witness?

In a related development, the Techiman divisional police have to lift the ban on drinking spots in Techiman after 7 pm with immediate effect and adopt other measures appropriately for people to adhere to COVID-19 pandemic directives.

The lockdown has been lifted by the president Nana Akufo Addo supersedes any orders from any high office in the country and should be observed accordingly.

Apart from our free movements Nana Akufo Addo says, all other directives to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic should be well adhered.
