The Bono East regional director of agriculture, Cecelia Kegya said this in an interview with the Nkyeremu News team during their encounter with the peasant farmers of Jema in Kintampo south of the Bono East region.
Cecelia Kegya says she is been mandated to inform the farmers about new crop varieties that mature faster with good yield as compared to our traditional crops.
She added that climate change has called for this intervention.
Cecelia Kegya says similar workshops will be held in all districts and municipal assemblies in the region within the shortest possible time.
