The Bono East regional director of Agricultural, Cecelia Keja says, the government has put in place all the needed farming inputs to make agricultural an attractive venture for
most Ghanaians Including the youth.
The regional director disclosed this at their mid-year joint sector review at Encom Hotel in Techiman.
Cecelia Keja says the government is making all things possible to ensure that most locally produced crops meet international standards.
The regional director in her presentation says, her officers are prepared to support the farmers to change from the traditional farming practices which had always been at their disadvantage for many years.
She says fertilizer, improved seeds and more are accessible to farmers at a reduced price to enhance productivity.
She urged the farmers to report any sign they detect on their crops on time to Agric officers at their catchment area for an immediate solution.
She is optimistic that, her team in the region will help to increase the production of both cash crops and food crops in the region.
