Many of the youth today don’t know unpeeled cocoyam ampesi.

It has several names in the Akan languages.

In the Brong Ahafo region, the unpeeled cocoyam ampesi is called mankeni mpo or akawo.

It’s has several other names among the Akans.

According to food nutritionist, the unpeeled cooked food is far better than the peeled ampesi that we mostly eat.

According to them, the skin of yams or cocoyams contain the most valuable food substances our bodies require most.

Just try this type of food to draw your conclusion.

I know for sure my uncle Kwame Fredua and Miki Charles will start chewing their tongues.
