The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana announced today in a news release that the governments of Ghana and South Africa have reached an agreement to remove visa requirements for holders of regular passports.
Beginning on November 1, 2023, travellers from both nations will be able to enter, exit, and remain on the other country’s territory for a total of up to 90 days without a visa as long as they are not engaged in employment.
This is a big step forward for both nations because it will lower travel and business travel costs and facilitate travel between them.
Additionally, it is evidence of the developing camaraderie and collaboration between South Africa and Ghana.
