The largest passenger plane in the world has now made two landings in Ghana: the Emirates A380 landed at Kotoka International Airport nearly four years ago, and now the British Airways A380 has done the same.
Solomon Quainoo, a former Emirates pilot from Ghana, tweeted about the historic event on Friday. He also mentioned that the British Airways A380 and the Emirates A380 touched down at the same international airport.
“Accra experienced a delightful surprise yesterday as British Airways operated an A380 into Kotoka International Airport for the second time in history. Now that the Emirates A380 landed at Kotoka International Airport about four years ago, and the British Airways A380 has done the same, the largest passenger airliner in the world has made two landings in Ghana.
Ghanaian-born Solomon Quainoo, a former pilot with Emirates, tweeted on Friday about the historic occasion. Additionally, he noted that the same international airport was used for the landings of the Emirates A380 and the British Airways A380.
“Accra experienced a delightful surprise yesterday as British Airways operated an A380 into Kotoka International Airport for the second time in history,” remarked the writer. About four years ago, we took the Emirates A380 on its inaugural trip to Accra.
