The Guinness World Records has to come out to explain why Afua Asantewaa is finally disqualified after two months of breaking the record. In the first place, what are the rules governing the game? This should be championed by the Ministry of Tourism. Sadly, our state minister doesn’t know their exact rules and obligations!
Guinness World Records has officially declared that Afua Asantewaa’s attempt to establish the record for the longest individual singing marathon was not successful, why?
In a tweet on Friday, February 23, 2024, sighted by Ghana Web, the official response read: “Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans.” What went wrong should have been explained.
It is sad Africans are being robbed in football, boxing and all other games. Is this not sad? Whether Afua Asantewaa is disqualified or not, her name can’t be erased from the Guinness Book of Records. ”What is written is written”
