The chief of Buoyem in the Techiman Traditional Area, Nana Daasebre Kwarten attributes the day and night robbery on the 6-kilometre road network linking Buoyem, Mesedan, Asuei and Techiman to the poor road network. Nana Daasebre speaking to the Nkyeremu News says all attempts made to fix the road had proved futile.

Nana Daasebre Kwarten emphasized that three presidents had been informed of the difficulties with the Buoyem road network by Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw 1v, the Omanhene of the Techiman traditional territory, but they have all turned a deaf ear.

For decades, they have followed up with regional ministers, MPs, and DCEs, but according to Daasebre Kwarten, speaking to Nkyeremu News, all of these attempts have been ineffective.

The 6-kilometre road network in Bouyem, Asue, and Mesedan, he emphasized, forces drivers to demand outrageous fees. Several vehicles that use the road experience breakdowns because of its nature, according to Nana Daasebre.

According to driver Agyei Mensah, who has been driving on Buoyem Road for more than 30 years, the road is constantly muddy or dusty. He continued by saying that there is never a day when a car does not break down on the road.
