You may be eligible to apply for a visa without appearing in person for an interview. Please read carefully the following instructions.<\/p>\n

Category 1:<\/h5>\n

• Foreign Government Officials traveling on official government business \u2013\u00a0A-1, A-2\u00a0visas<\/li>\n
• International Organizations Representatives (e.g. United Nations, World Bank) \u2013\u00a0G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4\u00a0visas<\/li>\n
• NATO Representatives and Military Personnel traveling on official business –\u00a0NATO 1, NATO-2, NATO-3, NATO-4, NATO-5, NATO-6\u00a0visas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  If you are eligible to apply in one of the categories listed above, you may contact the Consular Section directly at consulbratislava@state.gov\u00a0to arrange a drop-off\/pick-up time.<\/p>\n

  Category 2:<\/h5>\n

  Some applicants are eligible for a waiver of interview. Please read the qualifications carefully below and follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Travelers age 80 or over with no prior refusals within the last two years<\/li>\n
  • Children under the age of 14 (see\u00a0Visas\u00a0for Children\u00a0for more information)<\/li>\n
  • Applicants whose personal data has not changed, who can provide the passport with a previous U.S. visa, and who meet all the following conditions:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    \n
    1. Received a visa\u00a0after August 30, 2007,<\/strong>\u00a0and had their fingers scanned.<\/li>\n
    2. Are applying for a visa in\u00a0the same category as the previous visa,<\/strong>\u00a0unless:\n
       \n
       • their most recent B1, B2, B1\/B2 visa was issued for\u00a0less than ten years,<\/strong><\/li>\n
       • are applying for J or H visas and previously\u00a0did not receive the William Wilberforce pamphlet<\/strong> (about workers’ rights and trafficking in persons)\u00a0in person from a consular employee,<\/strong><\/li>\n
       • are applying for J-1 Summer Work and Travel visa,<\/li>\n
       • are applying for A-3, G-5, or NATO-7 visas (Every time they apply for a visa they must have an interview with a consular officer.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
       • Are applying for the new visa\u00a0within 48 months of the expiration date<\/strong>\u00a0of the old visa.<\/li>\n
       • Are applying at the\u00a0consular post of their usual residence<\/strong>\u00a0or the post designated for their nationality.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         Renew My Visa<\/h4>\n

         Step 1<\/h5>\n

         Complete the\u00a0non-immigrant Visa Electronic Application (DS-160) form.<\/p>\n

         Step 2<\/h5>\n

         Log in to our online applicant system or create a new user (if you don’t have one yet) to pay the visa application (MRV) fee. Once logged in, choose \u201cNew Application\/Schedule appointment\u201d. As you go through the process, you will answer the interview waiver questions, which will evaluate your eligibility to apply for a visa without an interview.<\/p>\n

         Step 3<\/h5>\n

         After you answer the questions, you will be prompted to pay the visa fee. If you are eligible to apply for a visa without an interview, you will print out the “Interview waiver confirmation letter\u201d which you will include with your visa application.<\/p>\n

         Step 4<\/h5>\n

         Print your Application interview waiver letter and gather your DS-160 confirmation page, MRV fee receipt, current and previous passports, photo, and a letter explaining your travel purpose and itinerary. Depending on the visa category, you may require additional documentation and a reciprocity fee. Please refer to your specific visa category page\u00a0for additional required documents.<\/p>\n

         Step 5<\/h5>\n

         When you are ready to submit the application documents, please\u00a0follow the instructions received on the Interview Waiver Confirmation letter\u00a0and register your document delivery address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

         After the registration is done, you will receive a prepaid address label from our delivery service desk.<\/p>\n

         The\u00a0cost of the document delivery to the Embassy is 15,03 Eur (per applicant)<\/u>, paid with a credit or debit card when registering the delivery address.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

         Step 6<\/h5>\n

         A courier will deliver your documents to the Embassy.<\/p>\n

         Step 7<\/h5>\n

         At the end of the visa adjudication process, our courier service will return your documents and your passport to you at the chosen document delivery location.<\/p>\n

         The\u00a0cost of the document delivery from the Embassy is 17,9 Eur (per applicant)<\/u>, paid with a credit or debit card when registering the delivery address.\u00a0<\/strong>If issued, your passport will contain your visa.<\/p>\n
