The former manager of Jimmie Allen is suing him for claimed sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and mental distress, according to court documents obtained by The Times.<\/p>\n

The woman, who asks to remain anonymous because she still works in the music industry, claims that Allen harassed and sexually attacked her for an entire year and a half when she was a staff member of Allen\u2019s management company, Wide Open Music.<\/p>\n

Allen\u2019s label, BBR Music Group, swiftly suspended the recording artist, saying in a statement, \u201cIn light of today\u2019s allegations against Jimmie Allen, BBR Music Group has decided to suspend all activity with him, effective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former manager of Jimmie Allen is suing him for claimed sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and mental distress, according to court documents obtained by The Times.<\/p>\n

The woman, who asks to remain anonymous because she still works in the music industry, claims that Allen harassed and sexually attacked her for an entire year and a half when she was a staff member of Allen\u2019s management company, Wide Open Music.<\/p>\n

Allen was slated to perform on June 11 at the CMAFest in Nashville. After the incident became public knowledge, the Country Music Association removed him from the concert, which also featured country music icons Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw.<\/p>\n

He was replaced as commencement speaker for Friday\u2019s Delaware State University graduation by Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.).<\/p>\n

In a lawsuit submitted on Thursday to a federal court in Tennessee by \u201cJane Doe,\u201d Allen\u2019s former manager, she alleges that she awoke naked in her hotel room in March 2021 with vaginal bleeding and pain but no recollection of the previous evening.<\/p>\n

She claimed that as Allen was lying next to her and instructing her to swallow a Plan, he had taken her virginity against her will.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic,\u201d Jane Doe told\u00a0Variety\u00a0in a Thursday expos\u00e9. \u201cHe held me in place. At that point, any physical will was just out the door. I was pretty much paralyzed.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the hotel stay, according to Jane Doe, the abuse intensified. She says that when driving Allen to and from events, he sexually abused her at stoplights, in green rooms, on flights, and in other locations where she was forced to be present. She also claims that Allen forcibly shoved his hands down her pants in public.<\/p>\n

She also said that Allen \u201craped her in private while choking her\u201d and that he filmed \u201cmultiple sexual encounters in order to blackmail her to stay silent.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement to The Times, Allen denied any wrongdoing and said their relationship was consensual.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever,\u201d Allen told The Times. \u201cI acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship \u2014 one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives. The simple fact is, her accusations are not only false but also extremely damaging. I\u2019ve worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defence to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jane Doe\u2019s attorney told Variety that a payout was never requested saying, \u201cThe only ask we made of Allen and his legal counsel was to meet to discuss Allen\u2019s behavior and resolution of our client\u2019s claims. At no time did our client make a monetary demand.<\/p>\n

The response was a hard no, and coloured with threats that his team would take steps to publicly tarnish my client. My client had no choice but to be proactive in protecting herself by filing the complaint.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
