The billionaire\u00a0Jeff Bezos\u00a0and presenter\u00a0Lauren S\u00e1nchez are engaged after the Amazon founder proposed on his $500 million super yacht, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The couple were engaged and had been circulating for several months, as Miss S\u00e1nchez 53, had been pictured wearing a large ring on her engagement finger.<\/p>\n

The couple were pictured smiling together on the deck of the 417ft boat off the coast of\u00a0Cannes\u00a0on Monday, with\u00a0DailyMail.com\u00a0and PageSix both reporting their engagement.<\/p>\n

The French Riviera is the latest stop in the couple’s European yacht tour, after they were spotted sailing around the Spanish island Mallorca last week.<\/p>\n

Their engagement comes almost five years after they went public with their relationship in 2019 after Mr. Bezos, 59, announced his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott.<\/p>\n

Miss Scott, with whom Mr. Bezos has four children, was awarded a colossal $38 billion in their divorce settlement.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bezos’ boat, named Koru, is one of the world’s biggest sailing yachts. It includes a 250ft support vessel, which has its own helipad.<\/p>\n

The boat also has a wooden sculpture in the likeness of Miss S\u00e1nchez erected on the prow of the megayacht.<\/p>\n

The sculpture is wearing a necklace of the symbol for Koru, which is Maori for loop or coil, and is based on the spiral shape of an unfurling silver fern frond.<\/p>\n

Koru symbolizes new beginnings and a new phase of life, positive change, personal growth, and hope for the future, a highly important symbol of Maori traditions.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bezos, who Forbes\u00a0currently ranks the world’s third-richest man, with a net worth of $141 billion, posted a photo of Koru on Instagram on New Year’s Day in a slideshow of pictures from his disco party.<\/p>\n

He wrote: “The new year is also a great time to take stock and focus on personal growth, renewal, rebirth, and paying careful attention to each moment of your life. The good and the bad. All of it.”<\/p>\n
