A 35-year-old farmer has fired and killed his 48-year-old girlfriend for demanding an increase in chop money.<\/p>\n

The incident happened at Breman Nkonya in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region.<\/p>\n

The suspect who is on the run, Kwame alias Otwea Amokua reportedly fired at Nkrumah, his girlfriend over a misunderstanding on chop money.<\/p>\n

The girlfriend was only demanding an increment in chop money, as the amount given to her isn\u2019t enough due to the constant rise in prices of consumable goods in the market.<\/p>\n

The body has been kept at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital morgue, while the suspect is nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

Offices of Ghana Police Service have retrieved the weapon Kwame used for the shooting incident.<\/p>\n
