Lionel Messi\u2019s son, Thiago, has been included in Inter Miami\u2019s Under-12 academy roster for the 2023-24 season.<\/p>\n

Thiago, who is 10, will team up with the rest of Miami\u2019s Under-12 side and be coached by\u00a0Diego Garcia, pending on the receipt of his work permit.<\/p>\n

David Beckham\u2019s son, Romeo, as well as Phil Neville\u2019s son, Harvey, also came through the academy ranks at Miami.<\/p>\n

His integration into the youth side comes as Messi continues to shine for Miami\u2019s first-team.<\/p>\n

Miami beat the Red Bulls 2-0, with Messi and\u00a0Sergio Busquets\u00a0starting on the bench amid fixture congestion ahead of their\u00a0MLS\u00a0regular-season debuts. Messi made his MLS debut in the 60th minute, replacing\u00a0Leonardo Campana. He then scored in the 89th minute to put the game away.<\/p>\n

Messi made his\u00a0debut for Miami on July 21, and prior to Saturday\u2019s win, he had played 390 minutes across four matches over the last two weeks.<\/p>\n

The Argentina international has netted 11 goals in nine games for Miami so far.<\/p>\n

Messi\u2019s upcoming schedule includes MLS games against\u00a0Nashville\u00a0and LAFC on August 30 and September 3, as well as a pair of World Cup qualifiers with Argentina versus\u00a0Ecuador\u00a0(September 9) and against Bolivia (September 12). Miami then has matches against\u00a0Atlanta United\u00a0(September 16), Toronto FC (September 20) and\u00a0Orlando City\u00a0(September 24) before the U.S. Open Cup final against\u00a0Houston Dynamo\u00a0on September 27.<\/p>\n
