Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s name seemed to be the front-runner for the running mate position.<\/p>\n

In addition to serving as the University of Cape Coast’s vice-chancellor, Professor Opoku-Agyemang served as the ministry’s minister for education from 2013 to 2017. The NDC 2020 running mate has a PhD in English literature and has conducted ground-breaking humanities research, making her the first female vice-chancellor.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, explained that the nomination process was carried out by Article 45 of the NDC Constitution.
