Within weeks, Luis Su\u00e1rez joined before the 2024 season, and Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, two former Barcelona colleagues, followed.<\/p>\n
A player with close ties to Messi, \u00c1ngel Di Mar\u00eda, has been linked to a move to Miami in recent weeks. Neymar Jr., the Brazilian superstar who played with Messi and Su\u00e1rez in Barcelona’s renowned “MSN” strikeforce, has been linked to the Herons as a result of such rumors.<\/p>\n
Messi was questioned about the possibility of Neymar joining Inter Miami to bring the superstar back together in an infobae interview.<\/p>\n

It appears very difficult at this point to find a place in the Herons\u2019 tight cost budget for another player with high wage expectations, as Messi says. Neymar’s two-year contract with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia is estimated to be around $175 million, a significant amount more than even Messi makes in Major League Soccer.<\/p>\n
Neymar, who suffered an ACL tear in October of last year, is also out with an injury at the moment and is not yet back on the pitch. It is hard to find a sporting reason for Neymar to join Tata Martino’s team this year as Messi and Su\u00e1rez currently play two attacking roles, but that could change in the future.<\/p>\n
Su\u00e1rez looks every second of his 37-year-old, and the Herons are limited by his lack of mobility, even if he has scored 12 goals in 16 MLS games. He is only signed for this season at Chase Stadium per his contract, and it doesn’t appear likely that he will stay into the 2024 season. Neymar would most likely have to wait until he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2025, but if Su\u00e1rez departs the team at the end of his current contract, Miami may have room for another outstanding attacking player.<\/p>\n
