Ghana imports all the vegetables from Burkina Faso, they only have one season of rainfall. Both the cash and food need irrigation to produce more for local consumption and export. Ghana’s employment and well-being statistics between its southern and northern regions are strikingly different. The creation of particular databases outlining the regional economies is necessary to support policy focused on the development of the northern regions. Therefore, using a high degree of sectoral, household income group, and educational disaggregation across ten administrative areas, this paper describes the creation of a Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) for Ghana for the year 2015. This SAM has been used to apply linear multisectoral models to evaluate the socio-economic effects of possible final demand policies in the Ghanaian economy at the regional level.<\/p>\n

The effect that various agricultural commodities have in transferring income to various family types is also examined using the structural path analysis. The findings make it possible to determine which industries should be supported the most since they have the most potential to boost output, employment, and value-added across the board, as well as those that have a big influence on household income.<\/p>\n
