Revelation 14:13: “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, they will rest from their labours, for their deeds follow them.” This promise ensures that our earthly efforts done in faith are remembered and rewarded in heaven. Every passing Christian encourages us to live with purpose, kindness, and peace, while keeping our eyes fixed on the eternal prize. Their journey teaches patience, forgiveness, and hope, reminding us all that life\u2019s true victory lies beyond this world.<\/p>\n
Juliana Kumi popularly known as Mama Yaa, was born to the late John Kwaku Takyi and Theresa Yaa Serwaa. Mama Yaa was blessed with 8 biological siblings. She completed St Hunry’s Middle School in 1984 and continued at Wenchi Our Lady of Fathama Vocational Institute. She did not hide her certificate; she was employed at Kwasibuokrom Vocational Technical School then, under the German volunteers, in the mid-80s. Mama turned into trading thereafter and indeed made a mark.<\/p>\n
She got married to Amanfo, and they were blessed with a son, Michael Addai. Finally, there was a separation. Mama Yaa never had any contact with any man again for several decades before she was called to glory. This made her a unique and outstanding Christian to emulate.<\/p>\n
Juliana Yaa Kumi was a respected and cherished figure in Kwasibuokrom and beyond. Mama Yaa was deeply devoted to her faith and church community. She was also a committed choir member of the Kwasibuokrom SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in her youth and was known for her steadfast worship and spiritual dedication. Her faithful service was formally recognised just three months before her sudden passing when Emmanuel Assemblies of God Church in Drobo honoured her with a plaque award celebrating her generous contributions and unwavering commitment to the church. However, many people receive their citation awards after death! Wahala!!!<\/p>\n
Kumi encountered sicknesses, but we never thought we were going to lose our dear mother, daughter, niece, and sister, who became a mother to us. She was a mother to all who had contact with her. She was so generous and kind to give. Her known testimony is that she never argued or fought anybody in her lifetime. Can we also learn something from our lost Angel, Mama Yaa?<\/p>\n
Beyond her spiritual life, Mama Yaa was widely admired for her kindness and warm relationship with neighbours. She was known as a nurturing and generous soul who readily fed and assisted those in need without hesitation. Her kindly nature made her a motherly figure to many and a pillar of support within the community.<\/p>\n
The news of Mama Yaa\u2019s sudden passing has deeply saddened the neighbourhood, leaving many mourning the loss of a selfless and gentle woman whose presence was a blessing. Her legacy of generosity, faithfulness, and kindness continues to inspire all who knew her.<\/p>\n
