The Chief emphasised the urgent need for a 25-kilometre road linking Anyima to Wenchi, highlighting how the current poor road conditions severely hinder agricultural productivity. Obrempong was addressing the people at their yam festival. He urged the youth to embrace the Ghanaian culture with much attention and, if possible, reintroduce Bragro.

According to Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem II, the bad roads mean that during the rainy season, both cash crops and food crops rot on the roadside before they can reach market centres. This not only causes significant financial losses to farmers but also impacts food supply in the region. A well-constructed road network would enhance accessibility, reduce post-harvest losses, and promote economic activities.

In addition to the road project, the Chief appealed for the completion and upgrading of the existing EBlock facility into a fully functional Technical Institute. He explained that the Technical Institute would provide essential skills training to the youth, empowering them with practical knowledge that could lead to employment opportunities in the area. This development, he said, would be vital in addressing youth unemployment and fostering sustainable community growth.

Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem also took time to commend three outstanding personalities from the area for their dedication and hard work in advancing the community’s interests. Their contributions, he noted, have been instrumental in driving various local initiatives. They include the Queen Mother of Anyima, also Council of State Member, Nana Saah Gyamfuaa II, Felicia Adjei MP of Kintampo South and Ing Noble Appiah, the CEO of DVLA, and Meto Mass Transit Ghana.

Beyond the road and educational infrastructure requests, there are other pressing developmental needs that can propel Anyima and the wider Kintampo South area onto a path of growth, such as upgrading their health facility, providing agriculture support services, and enhancing market infrastructure.

The chief’s petition underscores the critical importance of holistic development in rural areas to unlock their full potential. Addressing these needs not only benefits the immediate local population but also contributes to regional and national socio-economic progress. President Mahama’s attention to these appeals could significantly change lives in Anyima and its surroundings.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

24,1
["https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-scaled.jpg",2560,1343,false
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-300x157.jpg",300,157,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-768x403.jpg",640,336,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-1024x537.jpg",640,336,true],"1536x1536":["https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-1536x806.jpg",1536,806,true],"2048x2048":["https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-2048x1074.jpg",2048,1074,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-1024x537.jpg",1024,537,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://nkyeremunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/BeFunky-collage-91-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
General News Nkyeremu
