Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem II, the Chief of Anyima in Kintampo South of the Bono East Region, has formally petitioned President John Mahama to consider critical infrastructure and educational development in the Anyima community. The Chief emphasised the urgent need for a 25-kilometre road linking Anyima to Wenchi, highlighting how the current poor road conditions severely hinder agricultural productivity. Obrempong was addressing the people at their yam festival. He urged the youth to embrace the Ghanaian culture with much attention and, if possible, reintroduce Bragro.<\/p>\n
According to Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem II, the bad roads mean that during the rainy season, both cash crops and food crops rot on the roadside before they can reach market centres. This not only causes significant financial losses to farmers but also impacts food supply in the region. A well-constructed road network would enhance accessibility, reduce post-harvest losses, and promote economic activities.<\/p>\n
