The annual Yam Festival has once again lived up to its name as a grand occasion of tradition and unity, drawing people from the diaspora back home to Techiman in the Bono East Region. Described as a true homecoming, the celebration saw entire families assemble in the family house to reunite, share in the festivities, and iron out issues among family members, reinforcing the bonds that hold the Akan community together.<\/p>\n
For the Akans, the Yam Festival stands as their grandest occasion, and this year’s edition was hosted under the auspices of Nana Apenten Fosu Gyeabour, the Hansuahene and Abanmuhene of the Techiman Traditional Council.<\/p>\n
