A 52-year-old Yaw Amponsa who has suffered from eye blindness for over a year has regained full sight after a successful eye operation performed by an ophthalmologist, Dr Osei Agyeman the in charge of the Techiman Holy Family hospital eye clinic in the Bono East region.<\/p>\n

In the three days session of free eye treatment, 653 persons living with eye diseases were screened for free eye treatment.<\/p>\n

122 of them were been diagnosed for eye operations. In three days, 72 have been successfully operated and discharged for free.
\nOthers will be attended to in working days.<\/p>\n

Averagely, one eye operation is charged between 1,500-3,000 Ghana cedis.<\/p>\n

Dr Osei Agyeman and his medical eye team have operated on 6 blind persons who have now regained their eyesight.<\/p>\n

Several partial blinds also regained their full sight through the replacement of an artificial eye lens by Dr Osei Agyeman.<\/p>\n

Dr Osei Agyeman said many Ghanaians lost their sight due to poverty. He said the delay of any eye infections could lead to eye blindness.<\/p>\n

Dr Osei Agyeman has called for financial support to attend to the venerable persons suffering from eye diseases.<\/p>\n
