Ghanaian economy will remain stranded unless the government provides the needed support to the private sector who employs the majority of the Ghanaian populace.<\/p>\n

Asuma Ibrahim, a seasoned leather works entrepreneur in the Bono east region said this during an interview with Nkyeremu news team on the Ghanaian economy.<\/p>\n

Asuma Ibrahim who graduated as road side shoeshine boy entered into big time production with two boys in 2012. He has now 8 active workers who produce an average of 150 pairs of foot wears daily.<\/p>\n

Asuma Ibrahim, says their major challenge facing the private sector is their working equipment.<\/p>\n

He explained further that, ministry of trade and other top government officials had visited his workshop at Techiman Manprusi Line on several occasions but none fulfilled his promised.<\/p>\n

Asuma Ibrahim was however thankful to the
\nPum Netherlands Experts Group for providing him funds for his few equipments<\/p>\n

He says, their products are patronised throughout the country and beyond. Neighbouring countries like Niger, Burkina Faso, Cote D’ Ivoire and Togo mostly make orders for their products.<\/p>\n

He says, he needs advanced equipments to increase their supply chain. Asuma Ibrahim says, expansion of his factory will create more job opportunities for Ghanaians.<\/p>\n

The managing director of Asuma Leather works is calling on the government to support them with funds and pay back in due time.<\/p>\n
