The general secretary of the Ghana Football Association GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo has assured that, the GFA is set to boost the women football to meet the International standard. He said this at the maiden awards night of the division one women’s football clubs in the Brong Ahafo region at the Sunyani Technical University campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He assured that each region will receive 6,000 footballs for free. Prosper Harrison says the provision of more footballs at the pitches will help in skills development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says the GFA will provide the regions with soccer instructors to support the coaches on the news rules of the game. He added that, scholarships will be given to the deserved women football team players to study abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo added that, the GFA is going to make the women’s soccer attractive to draw more attention to the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chairman of the Brong Ahafo region GFA, Ralph Alamo Gyambra praised the women soccer teams in the region for their successes at national level. He says, Ampem Darkoa is highly recommended by the GFA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He commended the organiser for this maiden awards night, Mariam Iddrisu Joosten. He says the prizes have set an uneasy standard to break by an individual.
Three distinguished players received a flat-screen tv set each and a citation plaque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They include Ankamaa Rachel, the best player of the year from Drobo Vision Ladies FC, Precious Adofoaa, Best Goal Keeper of the year, Dormaa Candy Ladies FC, and Mabel Amoyaw the women goal queen of the year, Fosu Royal Ladies, Techiman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best women’s Club CEO in the region went Ampem Darkoa’s founder, Nana Gyeabour Koasehene of the Techiman Traditional Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were several other awards and education support to the needy. The CEO of the Darling Angels Women’s Sporting Club, Naomi Adams, and Zach Adams NGO issued a cheque of Gh12,000. Naomi Adams has assured to support more needy women footballers in their tertiary education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
