In a vibrant coronation ceremony, Omanhene of Nkoranza, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV, pledged to establish an education fund to support needy but brilliant students in his traditional area. Speaking to a large crowd of chiefs, politicians, and residents, Nana announced plans to award more scholarships, aiming to produce more doctors, engineers, and scholars from the community.
“The fund will ensure no brilliant child misses out on education due to poverty,” Nana declared, urging all stakeholders to rally behind the initiative when it launches officially. He emphasised unity as key to development, calling on residents to contribute generously.
Nana also spotlighted community farming as a pillar for economic growth. He outlined ambitious plans to process local produce into finished goods for both domestic sales and export markets. “This will create jobs for our youth and boost the local economy,” he stressed, painting a vision of self-sustaining agriculture.
The Omanhene praised the youth, traditional chiefs, and Dr Nick Danso Abeam for their pivotal roles in his enstoolment. “Your support has made this possible; now, let’s unite for progress,” he said.
The colorful event drew high-profile attendees, including Bono East Regional Minister Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, Dormaahene Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu, and numerous prominent chiefs who graced the occasion in full regalia. Politicians and dignitaries filled the grounds, underscoring the coronation’s significance.
