Over 70 percent of the drivers plying Kumasi- Techiman road are set to park their vehicles on Monday 6th due to the consistent fuel price increases. About 95 percent of their vehicles are using diesel.

In January, the truck fair from Kumasi-Techiman was GH 28, but now 44 Ghana cedis. The drivers are urging further increases.

The drivers who are not familiar with the liters said a gallon of diesel is 106 Ghana cedis. They said parking their vehicles will be better than working to pay the pump stations. Their action will badly affect more passengers since there are no government buses to commute the passengers.

They said several vehicles with minor faults are parked due to the high cost of spare parts.
