Dr. Somfo Oyeadeyie Asah Akompani II, the Krobohene and Kyidomhene of the Techiman Traditional Area in the Bono East region, has donated Gh₵100,000 to support the youth. The donation aims to empower young people to grow and expand their businesses, providing them with much-needed financial assistance. Nana cautioned that the support is seed money to help more people who will come for the support. Nana Asah Akompanin pleaded with those who will receive the money to pay it back to benefit others.
Speaking at the annual Yam Festival celebrated at the Krobo Palace, Nana Asah Akompani II highlighted his long-standing commitment to supporting the needy in the Techiman Traditional Area. For decades, he has been involved in projects focusing on education and health, continuously advocating for the development and welfare of his people.
Under Nana Asah Akompani II’s leadership, the Krobo community has seen significant progress with the establishment of key institutions such as an ICT Centre, a Nursing School, and a Senior High School. These facilities have played a crucial role in enhancing education and skill development in the area.
