The Inspector General Police, James Oppong Boanuh has assured to provide enough security personnel to beef up security personnel at all electoral hot spots in the country.
The IGP said this during his encounter with the Bono East regional minister hon Kofi Amoakohene and the media.
The IGP urged the media to report accurately in order not to provoke tempers. He said the media could help in several ways to ensure free and fair elections and vice versa.
IGP James Oppong Boanuh said he would go round the country to educate his men to prepare in advance for the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The IGP praised the Bono East regional minister, hon Kofi Amoakohene for his full support to the police in their activities.
The Bono East regional minister, hon Kofi Amoakohene pleaded with the IGP, James Oppong Boanuh to increase the number of police personnel in the region to combat crime.
Hon Kofi Amoakohene however, commended the police for being able to reduce the crime rate in the region.
