The chairman of the progressive cashew association of Ghana, Emmanuel Goodhead has given assurance that there will be a total collaborative fixed buying price of cashew in the country.

He said this at the launch of progressive cashew association of Ghana at Nbangba Hotel of Techiman.

At the launch were over 450 cashew farmers and agents who came to grace the occasion. Those who shared their views were hopeful that things shall be well in the coming years.

The regional and the national executives of the PCAG were officially sworn in to exercise their mandatory duties to change the inconstant trend of buying cashew in Ghana.

The chairman, Emmanuel Goodhead speaking to the Nkyeremu news says the cashew farmers who are the main pilars in the cashew industry could no longer be underestimated.

The chairman of PCAG, Emmanuel Goodhead who is an exporter of cashew says, it is time for Ghanaian cashew farmers to meet the deserved buying price of their produce.

He says this unfortunate situation compelled them to form the progressive cashew Association of Ghana to halt the buyers from deciding buying prices without the producers.

The PCAG chairman, Emmanuel concluded that their association will team up with the government to collaborate with the foreigners to arrive at a competitive pricing of the cashew to be in the interest of all.

The vice-chairman of the PCAG, Nana Ameyaw Manu who is also the CEO of the Techiman Wonders FC also called for total collaboration to decide on the cashew reasonable fixed price.
