The Bono East regional minister, hon Kofi Amoakohene has urged all Ghanaians to eliminate yellow fever disease which is a more threat to life.

At the launch of the yellow fever campaign at Encom Hotel in Techiman were some stakeholders, the press among other personalities in the region.

Hon Kofi Amoakohene who was been absent due to his working schedule was been represented by the Bono East region coordinating director, George Padmore.

The coordinating director, George Padmore says, from 12th-18th November 2020 the Bono East region has targeted to vaccine over 170,957 people who are above 10 to 60 years for free.

George Padmore has pleaded with all chief executives, the traditional leaders, and the health workers in the region to exercise their maximum best to get the targeted number of persons to be been vaccinated before the deadline.

He said information has gone far enough to get all persons who are ready to be vaccinated.

The regional coordinating director said, apart from the health benefits, one cannot travel outside Ghana without the yellow card.

He urged all Ghanaians to get involved in the yellow fever immunizations exercise which is free from 12th to 18 November 2020.

On behalf of the Bono East regional minister, George Padmore officially launched the campaign of the yellow fever vaccination exercise.

The Bono East regional director of health, Dr Fred Adomako Boateng speaking to the press pleaded with all persons in the Bono East region to visit the various vaccine centers to be vaccinated.

He says they want to ensure every Ghanaian above 10 years get vaccinated before 18th November 2020.
