The Bono east regional fire command, DCFO Anim Frimpong has attributed 99 percent of fire outbreaks in Ghana to human error. He says their records indicate both domestic and bush fire disasters are all human error.

A few days ahead of the yuletide, DCFO Anim Frimpong has pleaded with Ghanaians to desist from any activity that may trigger fire disasters

The Bono east regional fire command says the natural fire outbreaks like volcanoes had never occurred in any part of Ghana before. He stressed that human error is the key to fire disasters in Ghana.

He attributes several of the bush fire to hunters, smokers, drivers, and farmers. On domestic fire outbreaks, he blamed victims for their carelessness.

DCFO Anim Frimpong says many people fail to switch off their electrical machines after being used. He warned Ghanaians to switch off all their electrical equipment after being used.

DCFO Anim Frimpong has pleaded with Ghanaians to be more vigilant as we get to Christmas and harmattan season.

In the third quarter of 2020, 152 outbreaks were been recorded, it was been reduced to 134 in 2021. The good news is that there were no deaths cases.

On fatal accidents, the Bono East region recorded 74 deaths in 2020 as against 22 in 2021 in the third quarter of the year.

The number of injured persons in the third quarter of 2021 increased to 210 and declined to 170 in 2020.
