The Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II has declared instant justice on individuals or groups of persons who will engage in any form of galamsey activity in the Dormaa stool lands.
Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II said this when addressing his chiefs on the consequences of water pollution. He indicated that only hard measures like instant justice can help to curtail the galamsey activities in Ghana.
Oseadeye said chiefs who are the traditional owners of the land have a major role to play if only they can stop their personal interest in the galamsey activities and fight a good course.
Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II deserved the title Oseadyo because he has been able to halt all forms of illegal mining in the Dormaa Traditional Area.
It is a fact that all the rivers in the Dormaa Traditional Area are clean and pure.
