Christian Atsu’s death has been the hottest debate from 6th January 2023 until 17th when he was pronounced dead in the Turkish earthquake mass disaster claiming thousands of lives. His rescue was the hottest debate on social media across the world.
His Turkish team has made all the necessary arrangements to fly the body to Ghana today to arrange for the funeral celebration.
In his career as a footballer, he played for Ghana’s under-20 national team and emerged as the best goalscorer and man of the match. He was featured in the Senior Black Stars and scored the most important goals. He also made good remarks in the EPL. His last club was the Turkish Super-Lig Hatayspor. He won the only goal of the match in the 97th minute.
Ghana has lost a true patriotic figure, a philanthropic to the needy and the Nsawam prisoners.
Such a player and the nature of his death need nothing more than a state burial.
