Ghana has lost three top Ghanaian footballers, whose deaths are always fresh in minds, they came to deliver their best, but they died too shortly. One of them is the Accra Heart of Oak’s late legend and Black Stars Player, Shamo Quaye popularly called Shamo Leather. He was a fantastic player of all standards. He died at the age of 26. From October 1971- November 1997.
Another charming striker who came to make a big name was the lover boy, Junior Agogo. He was a fantastic leading striker of the Black Stars with vim and speed. Junior Agogo was born in August 1979 and died in 2019. He turned 40.
The death that many many don’t want to hear at all is the passing of the former Black Stars winger, Christian Atsu, who passed at the age of 31 through a tragic death in the Turkish earthquake disaster. He was born on January, 10th and passed on 6th February 2023. He played in Ghana, and EPL, and ended up in Turkey.
