Many soccer fans have been complaining bitterly over the change of the Black Stars’ dominant yellow color, which has now turned white. The change came in 2009 under former GFA Boss, Kwasi Nyamtakyi’s administration.
Research has indicated that the Ghana Black Stars’ original color was white, just like the present one. The new generation has also developed more love for the yellow color than white. The likes of Abedi Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Anthony Yeboah, and the rest used it in the old good days when football was our everything in Ghana.
Apart from the jersey, what had changed the love for football in Ghana? Why do Hearts and Kotoko now play in an empty stadium? The reasons are many and countless. Can one mention a single local team’s top striker for football fans to watch at the stadium?
Again, the referees who mostly decide the goals by taste are the major factors. So soon, referees have forgotten Anas’s exposé. Why can’t the GFA provide more cameras at all league centers, including the second division, to ensure fairness?
The failure of the GFA to provide the needed equipment to ensure fairness indicates that they are behind the robbery of matches. Again, some decisions taken by the GFA are not fairly ruled.
