Available information indicates, within a few years ahead, Africa can produce enough oil for consumption and export the excess to the international market. The top African oil producers are most likely to produce enough oil in larger quantities.

With the global oil demand dropping 11% in the first half of 2020- and OPEC removing 9-7 million barrels per day from the market, shows without the intervention of African oil the world would have been in a big crisis.

The exploration drives and discoveries made across the African continent, and ten oil-producing countries, are giving more hope in the coming years.

Angola, on top of being an oil-producing country, produces 1.6 million barrels per day or BPD. Over 9 billion barrels of proven reserves. It is anticipated to increase their production in the coming years. The data in the same 2022 indicates Nigeria has fallen to the second position with 1.02 million BDP, Algeria 970.00 BDP

The rest are, Libya 946 BDP, Egypt 440 BPD, Congo 275 BPD, Gabon 195 BPD, and Ghana 172 BPD. The rests are Guinea 88 BPD and Chad 68 BPD.
