The chiefs and people of Dormaa Aboabo No1 Kromokrom, a farming community in the Dormaa Municipality of Bono region have installed the Regional Manager of Goldfields Ghana Sustainable Development as their development chief with the stool name Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi

At his coronation, the people expected more from him based on his record in the community. He was carried shoulder-high and paraded through the streets of the town amidst pomp and pageantry after swearing allegiance to the chief of the town, Nana Oppong Baah Gabriel.

In his acceptance speech, Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi known private life as Robert K Siaw noted that for Ghana to develop faster it must be hung on rural development hence called on all development agents including community members both home and abroad to bring all hands on deck to help develop the rural areas of the country for rapid development of the people.

He says, ‘Dormaa and its environs are noted for poultry enclave which when properly harnessed and develop can boost economic activities and jobs creation and also improve lives of the people’.

Nana says Dormaa and its catchments are cocoa-growing areas, but all of their roads are very bad. He pleaded with the government to fix the roads to boost commuting in the area.

Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi has provided an Information Technology Communication centre ICT with 26 computers and accessories including chairs and tables for Aboabo No1 Kromokrom Presby School. He called on parents to provide opportunities for their wards to take up the study of ICT with all seriousness.

The chief of the town, Nana Oppong Baah Gabriel on his part pleaded with the Dormaa Municipal Assembly to assist them to complete their community centre which has been halted due to funds

He also emphasized the need for upgrade of roads linking Aboabo No1 to No 4 to help transport cocoa from the area.

The chairman of the occasion, Dormaa Manwerehene, Barima Efiritete Sampson Siaw advises the newly installed chief and his newly installed queen mother, Akyempimhemaa, Nana Bermaa Nkatia Boama to be submissive to the people but not to lord their positions over the people.

Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi is 55 and married to Rose Margret with two children.
