A lady has stabbed her boyfriend to death at Ayigya Zongo in the Ashanti region. The suspect, 32 Jennifer Appiah is said to have committed the crime after a misunderstanding with her boyfriend, Joseph Ashanti who is now pronounced dead,

She is reported to have stabbed him multiple times, leading to his untimely death.

According to the mother of deceased, she has warned her late son to stay away from the relationship with the lady on many occasions, but her son refused to listen.

She adds that whenever they have a misunderstanding in their relationship, the suspect threatens to end the life of her son and has indeed carried out her threat.

“Any time misunderstanding ensues between the two the woman threatens the deceased with a knife or scissors. I urged my son to stop dating the woman countless times, but he refused to do so until his premature demise.” She indicated.

Joseph Bawa was pronounced dead at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Hospital also known as “Tech Hospital”.

The suspect has since bolted from the community after allegedly committing the crime. The mother of the deceased is calling on the police to ensure she is arrested and brought to book.

“Now the lady after killing my son has escaped, and so we are pleading with the Police to arrest and bring her to book”. She added.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the KNUST Hospital morgue while a police investigation has commenced.
