Real Madrid are on the verge of setting a new transfer record with the signing of Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe. This will be the biggest signing followed by Nermar who was sinned by PSG for £220m in 2017.
Mbappe has been strongly linked with joining Real since last summer. Reports are now indicating that Real are closer to their man than ever and are willing to pay an upfront fee of €200m, with €50m in bonuses also included.
The 24-year-old’s current contract with PSG expires next summer, meaning PSG could decide to cash in on the France international now instead of risking losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
It would make Mbappe the most expensive transfer in history, eclipsing the €222m that PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar in 2017.
