According to Mr. Stephen Yakubu, the Upper East Regional Minister, the 24-hour economy will have an impact on family nighttime sex drives.

At the 2023 Sekote Tenglebgre Festival held by the Chiefs and People of Sekoti in the Nabdam District, the Minister was giving an address on behalf of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The vice president claims to be knowledgeable about the area. He continues, “This 24-hour economy, my brothers; we have to sleep with our wives when we’re tired from working on our farms.” We must be with our spouses! The minister for the region.

“You want us to go farming at night so that someone may come and take our wives away, right? No, Chairman, we must exercise caution with this 24-hour endeavour. He continued.

Many experts, like Anthony Yaw Baah, the general secretary of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Ghana, have hailed Mahama’s “24-hour economy” idea as a “game changer.”

They claim that its goal is to assist in resolving Ghana’s unemployment issue.

However, other Ghanaians are not so thrilled with the former president’s idea. These people are primarily members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), including vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s presidential candidate.

Additionally, they contend that the policy is not new because it is already in place in a few areas of Ghana’s economy, and charge Mahama with failing to comprehend the suggestion for his own policies.

When will our politicians show seriousness and maturity in public speeches?
