A year has elapsed since the terrible demise of Ghanaian football player Christian Atsu, who perished in the terrible earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023.
Atsu was one of the hundreds of people killed in the devastating earthquake, which stunned and devastated the whole world.
After Atsu was first reported missing, a comprehensive search was conducted. Unfortunately, his corpse was eventually found under a heap of rubble.
Following his passing, several football stars paid their respects, causing the football community to descend into sadness.
His outstanding play on the pitch, which included significant goals for his club and his country, earned him a reputation.
However, he displayed excellent character without athletic grounds because of his generous disposition and big heart.
Atsu used his position in society as leverage to improve the community through charitable events, leading to considerable changes.
Leading the way in honouring him and remembering him on social media were Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Ghana Black Stars.
They commemorated Atsu’s life and accomplishments and included images of him playing.
In 2015, he was the best African footballer, he exhibited well in his European career. Football fans around the world still miss Christian Atsu.
