The president, Nana Akufo Addo sacking all the MMDCEs and the state ministers without firing the finance minister Ken Ofori Ata is a useless move to condemn. The pivotal role of the finance minister, Ken Ofori Ata can never be overruled in the Ghanaian economic crisis. Ken Ofori Ata would have been fired in the very year appointed if he were a football team coach.
The sacking of the 22 MMDCEs has no impact on the Ghanaian economy. The problem is the finance minister, Ken Ofori Ata. Firing the finance minister will mean a lot more to Ghanaians than the vulnerable MMDCEs whose salaries don’t come!

There is scheduled to be a reorganization, and barring any unforeseen changes, approximately four (4) Ministers of State, seven (7) deputies, and numerous Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of government agencies may lose their jobs.
Unquestionable sources from the seat of government have informed the MyNewgh online page that the most impacted individuals are those who participated in the recently concluded parliamentary primaries but were not successful in their bids.
The decision was made at a meeting that was called before the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries.
Our source, who requested complete anonymity, stated, “It is regrettable, but they will be relieved of their duties in the coming days once the primaries are over and a winner is decided.”
According to the sources, the rearrangement is intended to fortify the party’s base in front of the 2024 elections because the individuals impacted are reportedly unpopular with the party’s supporters and may jeopardize its electoral victories.
It’s unclear exactly when President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will make the announcement, but it’s anticipated that it will happen in the upcoming weeks.
Recall that Dr. Freda Prempeh, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources and MP for Tano North in the Ahafo Region, Joseph Cudjoe, the Minister of Public Enterprises and MP for Effia in the Western Region, and the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection and MP for Walewale in the North East  Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu all lost during the party’s January 27, 2024 primaries.

Deputy Minister of the Savannah Region Samuel Tika defeated Mr. Seini, and Ms. Mensah was defeated by the CEO of the Coastal Development Authority, Jerry Ahmed Shaibu.
Lawrence Agyinsam, the CEO of Ghana’s Export and Import Bank, defeated Mr. Wireko-Brobbey, and Mr. Boateng and Mr. Ntim were defeated by Frank Owusu Achiaw and Fred Kyei Asamoah, respectively, in their attempts to win reelection.

Fawaz Aliu, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidency, defeated John Benam (Zabzugu), while John Osei Frimpong (Aberim) was unable to continue as a candidate after losing to Charles Owiredu, Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa.
