The Akwamuhene of the Techiman, Nana Owusu Gyare, also the acting president of the Techiman Traditional Area in the Bono East region, has strongly warned that any individual or group of persons found leading people to the political crisis will severely retreat the decision. Nana says the sad incident in the 2020 elections of Techiman will never be repeated. Nana was addressing Adom Baptist youth at the Valentine’s Day night programme.
Nana Owusu Gyare says elections are won at the polling stations. He pleaded with the political party agents to be more vigilant at all polling stations. Nana Akwamuhene cautioned the political party communicators to be more selective in the words used. Nana again condemned the media for fabricating unfounded stories which generated unnecessary tension.
The acting president of the Techiman Traditional Area, Nana Owusu Gyare says, the theme for the 2024 Apour festival is peace. He praised the youth of the Adam Baptist church for organizing the peace talks ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The Techiman municipal superintendent of police, Emmanuel Ofori, in his address, pleaded with Ghanaians to show a decent character to ensure free and fair elections. He cautioned the youth not to be used for dirty work.
Both the NPP and the NDC communicators were present and talked about peace ahead of the 2024 general elections.
