The issue is, just qualify and get to the US without the complex US visa application.  Now the US visa issuing is in the hands of the Ghana Black Stars.  The 2024 US/Canada is an opportunity for Ghanaians who have been denied the US/Canada Visa on several occasions.

The 2026 World Cup is a do-or-die affair for Ghana. The match played yesterday is an indication that, dully, thousands of Ghanaians dream the US and Canada will be a reality.

The Black Stars, the senior football squad representing the United States, Canada, and Mexico, defeated the Central African Republic in a thrilling victory that maintained their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Stars are still the favourites to win their group after a hard-fought 4-3 victory against the Central African Republic (CAR) at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in their most recent World Cup qualifying encounter. Ghana’s vital victory puts them three points ahead of Madagascar and Comoros, who haven’t played their fourth match yet, in their qualifying group, with nine points.

Jordan Ayew’s exquisitely struck penalty kick into the net gave the Black Stars an early lead in the sixth minute. The energy in the stadium was high, and there was an unparalleled amount of enthusiasm, yet this joyous atmosphere was fleeting. Louis Mafouta took advantage of a defensive blunder to give the away team an equalizer in the 11th minute, just five minutes later.

This equalizer left the thousands of supporters heartbroken but hopeful of a bounce back. However, just when the game seemed to be settling, with the Stars showing some level of dominance over their opponents, the away team struck again. The Central African Republic’s star striker, Mafouta, grabbed a brace in the 39th minute to put his team in the lead. The Baba Yara Stadium was silent like a cemetery for the remaining minutes of the first half, and half-time was a moment of agitation and expression of disappointment in some players’ performance by the fans

the intermission, the Stars came back stronger than before and immediately applied extra pressure as the referee blew his whistle. However, the CAR squad did not waver and fiercely defended themselves. However, Jordan Ayew’s header into the net in the 59th minute allowed the Stars to tie the score after he pounced on a cross from Gideon Mensah.

The supporters’ obvious joy was evident on their faces. They thought there was still time to secure victory. Their hopes were indeed directed in the proper direction. Three minutes after the equalizer, Ghana took the crucial lead once more when a shot from Fataw Issahaku bounced past the goalkeeper and into the net.

The stadium was exploding with singing, yelling, and jumping at this very moment; you name it, it was there. The many unions of fans performed their vibrant, trademark joy dances.
